Frequently Asked Questions

TCCA 90 contains 90% available active chlorine, compared to only 10-12% in liquid bleach and 65% in Cal-Hypo. It features a built-in Cyanuric Acid UV stabilizer to prevent sunlight loss and does not add calcium hardness (preventing scaled pool tiles and clogged heat exchanger pipes).
NEVER mix TCCA with Calcium Hypochlorite, acids, or ammonia! This causes an immediate exothermic reaction, fire, and toxic chlorine gas explosion. Always dose chemicals separately.
Trichloroisocyanuric Acid (TCCA 90) contains three chlorine atoms per molecule, providing ≥90% available chlorine with slow dissolution and acidic pH (2.7–3.3). Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate (SDIC 60%) contains two chlorine atoms, provides 56–60% available chlorine, dissolves very rapidly, and has a near-neutral pH (6.0–7.0). TCCA 90 is preferred for continuous sanitization and swimming pool tablet feeders, while SDIC is ideal for instant shock dosing and drinking water tablets.
