DETMP is a highly effective threshold scale inhibitor for carbonate, sulfate, and phosphate scales. It can inhibit scale formation at very low dosage levels (ppm), which are calculated based on the hardness of the water. As an organophosphonate, it exhibits excellent metal ion sequestration at stoichiometric concentrations. These attributes make it suitable for a range of applications, including peroxide bleaching, textile auxiliaries, industrial and institutional cleaning, and detergent formulations.
